Man, what was with all those commercials being interrupted
by that football game last night?
Of course, it could be the greatest Superbowl ever. I have
no idea. As I type this, the game is two hours from starting,
and as how I don't have television service anymore I'm not going
to watch it. I'll catch the commercials online later.
On to other news, this will be the only page this week. No
pages on Wednesday or Friday, I'm sorry to say. Still dealing
with my aunt's estate. Saturday there was a lot of moving stuff
around. Books to Half-Price, the Thomas Kinkade prints being
delivered to my Grandma as stipulated in the will, plus moving
other stuff around to get to even more other stuff later. Sometime
this week my mom is going to get a storage unit to park some
of my Aunt's belongings that we aren't going to sell. And I'll
be moving that stuff later. For a woman with a two room condo,
she had a lot of stuff. I was going to get this weeks pages down,
but mentally, physically and psychologically, I just don't have
the energy.
Let me recharge, and I'l do my best to get back into the groove
next week. See y'all next Monday.

They took Red Dwarf off of Netflix. I was half-way through
Season 3. Oh, well, I have 93 other things to watch. Provided
they don't take those out in a couple of days too. Finished up
re-watching the first season of Justified. Still just a phenomenal
show the second time around. And I'd hedge a bet if I watch and
re-watch it, it'd still be phenomenal. Now I just wait until
they put the second season back on sale so I can re-watch that.
I can wait. Wouldn't mind watching it right now, though.
One last thing before I finish this blog, no matter what you
think of holidays, if you hate Valentine's Day, Christmas or
any other holidays, it is always awesome that Reese's makes their
big holiday peanut butter cups. I'm half-way through a package
of Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts, and they are GOOOOOOOOD. Nummy, nummy,
nummy.
Have a great weekend, y'all.

One month down, eleven more to go. I actually wrote 'ten more
to go' and then quickly fixed it. Never drink and type. Shut
y'all who question my sobriety on the rest of my blog posts.
I'm sober on more than I'm not. I've got my bookmark on 'A Clash
of Kings', the second Game of Thrones book. I open it up and
then put it right back down. At nearly a thousand pages, it is
a bit intimidating. Once a start, it'll be a rocket ride for
sure. It's also somewhat overwhelming on all the things I have
to read. Eight more books in my read queue, not to mention the
dozens of trades I have to read.
Just bought some from a buddy who was cleaning out his shelves.
Him telling me what he was getting rid of, and me going 'Got
it.Got it' was a lot of fun. Also he appreciated thowing out
names of graphic novels and me knowing who most of the creative
teams on them were. He doesn't get that kind of awesome at home.
That stuff is good bathroom reading if nothing else. It turns
out I'll need new shelves eventually. Maybe after I move sometime
down the road.
All righty then. GO BUY SOME COMICS! I'll see y'all on Friday.

Drawing the dragon fossil was a lot of fun. Granted, I took
inspiration from the myriad of Tyrannosaurus skeleton pictures
out there. However, I couldn't find one that showed a good picture
of the shoulder assembly. Found some drawings, but I was looking
for photos. I did what I always do, get as much reference as
time allows and then I just wing it. I got all of this weeks
done in record time. You'll see why in the next two installments.
And NO, I did not draw two polar bears fighting in a snow
storm.
Hah. Maybe that should be my next web-comic. Nothing but blank
panels and sound effects. Posted every day, seven days a week.
It'd turn in to the hottest property ever. Rivallin '(bleep)
my Dad Says!' Bidding wars on my original art. All blank panels.
Sound Effects were Photoshopped in. I'd be riding a flying limousine
every where I go.
I joke, but I can really see that happening. See y'all on
Wednesday.

ANNNNNNNNND, I made it. Got it laid out Wednesday night and
did the art yesterday. Mostly talking heads, but it's the thought
that counts.
That's all I got. Have a great weekend. See y'all on Monday.

So Friday's page MAY be late. Maybe even on Saturday. Maybe
not. Some things in life came up and I got a little over-loaded.
As of this writing, I still haven't even put pencil to paper
for it. Got some story issues with that page. Another 'I know
what I want, but I don't know what I want' type thing. I got
the next few pages plotted out in the ol' head space, but the
next one is a bit of stumper. I'll have an epiphany some time
soon and all will be well.
Check back on Friday to see if the page is up, if not come
back Saturday and it'll be up then.
But in the meantime, GO BUY SOME COMICS!

A while back, I posted that I was know on Facebook. I am.
I've been told that I did not inform y'all of the name I was
under on Facebook. It's under, 'Chris Medellin'. The picture
currently in the profile is the same as the 'Who Is This Guy?'
page. So far, this year, I seem to have a steady stream of people
taking a gander at my web-comic. I hope y'all stick around. I
think I'm doing a really kick ass story and it's just going to
get better.
That thunder and lightning you saw in my eyes? Brainstorm.
As I've said before, I have this story semi-plotted out. Some
bits I want to hit, but everything is in flux. When Volcan was
telling Judah about the doors? That was going to be someone else
telling it. Lady Anamel attacking the school. Different villain,
different attack. Aysuni got some lines that Lienne was going
to have, because I started to see Lienne as much younger than
I intially thought of. (She's around 17 or so.) Things evolve.
As I was working on these upcoming pages, had a real killer-diller
idea that's too good to pass up. Still no end in sight. Still
have a bunch of stuff, I haven't even got to yet. Still having
fun.
If you are, let me know, with that nifty 'Contact Me' button
to the left of this blog, and drop me an e-mail.

I did a M.A.S.H. quote. One of the greatest shows ever.
It seems the internet censorship bill is starting to get beat
down to an unrecognizable pulp and flushed out. I guess after
carefully explaining to Congress, again, that they don't make
wax cylinders for their phonographs anymore, they brought in
some random 12 year olds to explain to them how the internet
actually works. My website did not go black in protest. I did
that last year, when I didn't renew my domain name in time. I
did it before it was cool.
It's supposed to be in the'60's and '70's this weekend?! It's
WINTER. I got my good coat ready to wear. C'mon, now!
All right. Y'all have a great weekend. See y'all on Monday. |
