HAH! I just noticed I did it. I put 2011, instead of 2012.
Oh well, if that's the worse that'll happen to me that'll be
a good thing. Just marking time until the apocalypse later this
year. Kidding. I know that the Mayan's had a thing for the end
of one thing, the rebirth of the new, but there's that curiosity
of the maybe. I blame comics/movies/tv shows and a very healthy
overactive imagination. It'll be like the whole Y2K thing. We
KNOW nothing was going to happen. But when images of the new
year came from that first city, and the lights didn't go out
and computers didn't go bonkers, everyone gave a big exhale.
Don't deny it.
Dead begin to rise. Biblical plagues. Alien Invasion. Time
traveling cyborgs. It ain't goin' to happen, but it does give
the imagination a good exercise.
It's Wednesday! Go Buy Some Comics!

I have returned.
Originally, I was going to have a Recap week. Once a day for
Monday through Firday I'd put up a broad overview of what has
gone before, but by the fourth page I was only a third a way
through the pages. So I just returned to posting the pages I
had already done, before all of the unpleasantness. Not only
my computer problems, which was solved by my new Christmas HP
laptop. Shout out to my cousin, Kevin for that.
But also the passing of my Aunt. My aunt Mary was the oldest
of my Grandma's children, my Mom was second. She was also my
godmother. She passed suddenly the Tuesday before Christmas,
and we buried her on that Friday. Luckily, my family has a tendency
to celibrate the life and not mourn the death. She had no children,
she had her nephews and nieces for that. Right now, we are taking
care of all her will and her wishes.
It was a rough couple of weeks for me. I think everythings
back and up and running, but I don't want to jinx anything.
For those that have Netflix. 'Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil"
is one awesome movie. Hillbillies and College kids, what could
go wrong? Heh, heh, heh.
Later.

Had a bit of a problem. Something hit my computer that I could
not access anything with an .exe command. However, I managed
to access Photoshop, Illustrator and Firefox, but for some reason
I could not, at all acces Pagemill. Which is the web program
I used to create this site. Then, Wednesday night it came back
up. Nothing seems to be the problem now. I don't know what happened.
I don't know if I'm suddenly not going to access this again,
But I thought I'd put this up for now. I'm not sure how long
my hiatus is going to last. No one responded to me on Facebook
or here, so that got me a bit depressed. We'll see.

I hate the changes in temperature. It messes with my sinuses
something fierce. Luckily that Alka Seltzer sinus gel-caps seem
to work really well. Well, with a good solid night sleep. Me
and my friends did go out to Entertainmart after dinner. Dinner
was McAlister's Deli. I had chicken tortilla soup and the Big
Nasty. The Big Nasty is an open face roast beef sandwich. I did
pick up the Magnificent Seven on Blu Ray. It is my favorite movie
of all time. Have not watched it yet, maybe this weekend. That
may be the last thing I pick up before Christmas. Still got some
more gift cards left. I'm curious how the sales of next week
and after Christmas shake up.
Anyway, y'all have a great weekend. If'n you want to, drop
me a line to let me know what you think of my webcomic. Later.
Have a Great Weekend.

There are eleven more days until Chrstmas. Everybody got their
shopping done? Luckily, the only person I have to buy for is
my Mom so, of course, that was taken care of as I told y'all
on Monday. Haven't bought any more blu rays, I thought about
it a couple of times, but I have made no effort as yet to go
out and buy any. Plus I'm enjoying hitting the 'Netflix' button
on my blu-ray remote and getting the streaming piles of movies
and tv show I pay eight bucks a month for. We''l see what happens
tonight with me and my friends. We usually get together go out
to dinner and then hit Entertainmart or a Half-Price books or
something like that. I might find something I absolutely must
have.
Anyway, it's New Comics Day! GO BUY SOME COMICS!
See y'all on Friday!

Hardest page I ever had to write.
Well, Christmas came early for me. My mom and I exchanged
gifts Friday night. She got me a Sharper Image Gravity Activated
Pepper Mill. Put batteries add peppercorn and just turn over.
She got me a 'Ninja' Food Chopper so I can mince and chop my
food up. A gift card to both Best Buy and Half-Price books. But
best of all, I got a Samsung Blu-Ray player. YAY! We went out
to dinner and then ran by Best Buy before it closed and she bought
me the Thor DVD so I would have something to watch on it. (She
didn't know what I wanted.) Then on Saturday, one of our long
time customers who is moving out of DFW gave me an early Christmas
gift of a $100 gift card. So far, with it, I've bought a HDMI
cable (to get that really clear Blu-Ray picture) plus the Evil
Dead 2 25th Anniversary Blu-Ray (only $10 at Fry's), plus the
Gamera Trilogy that also just came out for another $10. Best
Buy had the Blu's of the Special Edition of Walking Dead Season
1 and X-Men: First Class on sale so I ran up there and blew my
gift card already. I have those last two on DVD, well, the Walking
Dead isn't the special edition, so someone is getting those for
Christmas.
The only down side is it took a while to get hooked up to
the internet to set up Netflix. It kept telling me I didn't have
the internet, while the internet on my laptop was telling me
otherwise. But once I downloaded the apps and got it going, all
is well. The set-up to Netflix via Blu-Ray player was relatively
painless.
Oh, and dinner was a place called the Jalapeno Tree. If you're
ever in North Texas, just east of Town East Mall, give it a try.
Really, really good mexican food. Nummy, nummy, nummy.
oh, and my mom got a cordless screwdriver, and two gift cards.
I got some decorative boxes to put them in too. Sorry, the days
of being able to buy my mom a computer or a really cool sewing
machine is unfortunately in the past. But she seemed to like
them. |
