I've pseudo-plotted out next weeks already. I say pseudo because I had it totally plotted out and then on Friday's page I made a slight artistic adjustment and have to figured out what's in the panels I've already ruled out. Oh, well. It wont be that difficult. It's FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT on the next few pages.

Have a good weekend, everyone!

11/2/2011

It's November. NOVEMBER. Next month it will be Christmas. CHRISTMAS. Wow. I hadn't even thought of anything to ask Santa for. I was doing some design work on Lady Anamel who you can see in all her demonic glory, then I remembered I already drew her. About a hundred pages back in the 'how Morgathu lost his mind' flashback, so most of it got scrapped. Well, above the neckline did at any rate. Wait till you see her in all her horrible, horrible action. Heard some people walking the street and even saw groups of kids and their chaperones on Halloween night, but the front light was off so no one came by. I hope nobody got sick eating too much candy. I haven't bothered to buy candy at after Halloween discount prices either.

I didn't even watch horror movies on the ol' Netflix. Watched 'Ironclad'. A really cool and violent knight story, based on what King John did after signing the Magna Carta. (Hint: Got some danish mercenaries and tried to re-take England.) Did watch some episodes of the anime 'High School of the Dead', which has A LOT of fan service going on. Did watch 'Trick or Treat' on Sunday night. if you want a good solid Halloween movie (besides of course, of 'Halloween') you could do a lot worse.

Oh, GO BUY SOME COMICS!

10/31/2011

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hope y'all are all wearing your best costumes and get the best candy tonight. Alas, I will not be getting or handing out candy tonight. I made a big deal of it years ago. I got candy, had the light on, all that jazz. The fun part was the kids dressed up, yelling, 'Trick or Treat!". The worst part was the other 75%. The young adults banging on my door, wearing not a lick of costume. (Sorry, teenage douchebag is not a costume. Apparently, it's a lifestyle choice.) Not only not wearing costumes but grabbing the candy as soon as the door opened. I got no problem, if you go trick-or-treating at any age, but put on a costume and show some manners.

I've been toying with seeing if their's a way to make my own Ben Cooper Halloween costume. Ya know, the cheap plastic mask and the paper gown thing that had the picture of who you were supposed to be. I know you can get some of them cheap on ebay, but how cool would it be make one for Halloween. Oh, well, maybe next year.

I did go to Half-Price Books on Saturday morning. I actually found a book I was looking for. 'The Buntline Special' by Mike Resnick. It's a steampunk western. It goes on the shelf with the eight other books I need to read. But the point is, I got it. I also picked up ' The Guns that Won the West' by John Walter. This is a little different than other guns of the west books I have. It talks about Civil War mass production and technical advances, with detailed descriptions and performance evaluations of the leading guns of the West. It looks fascinating. I also picked up 'Zorro' by Isabel Allende. It's the book that when Matt Wagner was writing the Zorro comic, he referenced. I also picked up the Lovecraft Necronomicon Primer. It's for a project I'm tinkering with. My 15% off coupon went valiantly.

So....I got nothin'. It's cold and rainy as I type this. Unfortunately, it's supposed to warm up into the 70's this weekend. Here I was, 'bout to break out the chili recipes. Oh well, I found an interesting chicken and dumplings one I'm going to try.

Just noticed me Half-Price Books calender coupon expires on the 31st. So I have to go and find something(s). Maybe cruise the ones in Arlington sometime this weekend. There are a few things I'm looking for. Let's hope I find them.

Have a great weekend, y'all.

I talked a bit a while about pages you like and don't. This is one I really like. Especially that first panel up there. It really works. On another note, (said in a Seinfield voice) have you ever noticed that we call WENDSDAY, but it's spelled Wednesday. Maybe that's cuz if you said it like that, it would sound you always had a stopped-up nose all the time.

Anyway, NEW COMICS DAY! Go buy some comics.

10/24/2011

Made a change on the site as you can see, if you turn your eyes to the left a bit. I'll try not to make the content any less days. Just sometimes find it hard to produce what I want to. It may change down the road, but right now this is it.On the plus side, I have over 500 pages of content on the site. So I got that going for me.

10/21/2011

DUN DUN DUN! Oh no, what's going to happen next? Come back Monday for the continuation of our story. Same Roam site, same Roam story.

That's all I got. See y'all on Monday.

10/19/2011

And I just noticed I didn't put a tail on Judah's dialogue in the first panel. I hope y'all can figure out he's talking.

If you can't, in that first panel, Judah's the one talking. Draw a tail on your monitor if it helps you out.

Went to 2 WalMarts to pick up the DVD's of those crappy Captain America TV-movies that were supposed to come out today. At the second one, I asked one of the WalMartian's about it. I got a shrug, a 'Dunno', and 'a manager out on vacation'. Oh, I also got 'another shipment coming in at Noon'. So I got that going for me. Heh, I typed out WalMart-Ian, and it came out WalMarSHion. That's funny.

Not funny HA HA, but funny SMIRK. But sometime's thats all you can get, and that's fine. See y'all Friday. GO BUY SOME COMICS.

10/17/2011

So those crappy Captain America TV-movies come out THIS WEEK on one DVD. I must buy them THIS WEEK. WalMart is supposed to have them for $10. Worth it.

Okay, this week three pages again. Sorry about that. Just feeling a grind, I guess. If you've noticed a slight decline in the artwork lately, I've been feeling like I've been half-assin' it for a couple of weeks now. Maybe it's where the story is right now, maybe it's just me. Dunno. Maybe I'm just tired. I was toying with taking a break coming up. For like a month or so, but two things are stopping me. One, I have such a low readership, would any of you come back? And two, would I return? I'll chalk it up to good ol' artistic depression and leave it at that. I'm not sure what I'll decide. I could just get over it and keep pluggin' away.

See you on Wednesday and Friday.
